The penalty paid in full
Today is Good Friday, the day that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. JESUS took our penalty [death separation from God ] and paid it in full [completely destroying death once and for all ]
He took the punishment of sin which is death so we could be free! And made right with God.
“ Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:4-6 NIV
Jesus is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”John 1:29 NIV
It is finished! Once and for all, death is defeated!
“When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” John 19:30 NIV
“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split” Matthew 27:50-51 NIV
What once separated us from God is defeated! The veil is torn, we have accesses to the Father at any time and at any place!
He paid the price for us, so we could be with Him and the Father.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV
having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” Colossians 2:14-15 NIV
We are right with God because of the blood of Jesus! We have accesses to the throne, to heaven, Where all good and perfect things flow. He intercedes for us! He made a way for us to enter heaven!

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16 NIV
You are forgiven!
You are washed white by the blood of Jesus!
You are made right before God!
You are empowered by the Holy Spirit!
And God will give you grace to get through any and every situation! He is just so good!
You are new creation in Christ!
You are loved beyond measure and comprehension by God the Father, the maker of the universe, heavens and earth!
